Bayero University Students Join Forces to Combat Drug Abuse

The Students' Union Government of Bayero University Kano (SUG-BUK) recently participated in a walk against drug abuse, organized by MTN Foundation in collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and promote a healthier future for young people.

The walk, which took place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, commenced with a march around various parts of Kano and concluded at the Mahmoud Tukur Theater, BUK Old Campus. SUG-BUK President, Comrade Abdullahi Usman Baba, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of making positive choices and prioritizing health, education, and future.

In his address, the President encouraged students to support one another in making informed decisions and to become advocates for change. He emphasized that substance abuse can have far-reaching consequences, affecting not only individuals but also families, communities, and the nation as a whole.
