Benue Corps Member Uses NYSC Allowance to Build Roundabout in Plateau State

Ukershio Favour, a dedicated National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member from Hyiarev, Gwer West Local Government Area in Benue State, has made significant contributions to her host community in Plateau State, using her own monthly allowance.

In a remarkable display of selflessness and community spirit, Favour addressed a critical road safety issue in Shandam Local Government Area by constructing a roundabout. This area had been notorious for multiple accidents, and her initiative has greatly enhanced road safety for the local residents.



Favour's community contributions did not stop there. She also awarded scholarships to two orphans, providing them with the financial support needed to continue their education. Additionally, she organized workshops to teach local women the skills of liquid soap-making, empowering them with the ability to start small businesses and improve their livelihoods.
