Benue State University Teaching Hospital to Launch VIP Clinic
Benue State University Teaching Hospital in Makurdi plans to establish a VIP Clinic aimed at attracting medical tourists, part of their strategy to enhance healthcare services and global visibility.
In a bid to enhance healthcare services and attract medical tourists, the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi, is set to launch a Very Important Personality (VIP) Clinic. Dr. Steven Hwande, the Chief Medical Director, announced this initiative during a press briefing ahead of the hospital's upcoming 'International Investment Summit'.

The summit, themed 'Attaining One Stock Hospital', aims to showcase advancements in medical science and equipment. According to Dr. Hwande, the VIP Clinic will cater specifically to prominent individuals seeking privacy and high-quality medical care.

"We are mirroring global trends with this initiative to foster medical tourism," stated Dr. Hwande. "During the summit, we will host a medical scientific exhibition featuring cutting-edge research and training tools."

Despite these advancements, challenges such as inadequate water and electricity supply persistently hamper hospital operations, Dr. Hwande highlighted.
The summit will also include an endowment fund drive to recognize supporters of the hospital's mission.
