The bill, titled "An Act to Upgrade the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa to the Federal University of Mining, Engineering, and Technology Nasarawa as a Training Institution for the Development of Mining Engineering and Technology," aims to reposition the institution as a center of excellence in mining and engineering education.
This legislative move underscores the importance of harnessing Nigeria’s vast mineral resources through specialized training and capacity building in mining and related technologies.
