The Executive Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area in Bauchi State, Hon. Lawi Yakubu Sumi, has pledged to collaborate with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for the development of the local community. Speaking at the local government secretariat on September 17, 2024, Sumi welcomed the new NYSC members assigned to Bogoro, emphasizing his administration's commitment to working closely with the corps members to enhance local development.

“We aim to foster robust development in Bogoro by partnering with the NYSC,” Sumi stated. He highlighted the community’s amenities, including a hospital and adequate accommodation, and assured the corps members of their safety and freedom. “Bogoro is a place to be, with freedom of religion and movement,” he added.

Sumi urged the NYSC members to concentrate on their assignments and avoid any activities that might cause issues during their service.
