Borno State University Releases Comprehensive Registration Guidelines for New Students

As the 2023/2024 academic session kicks off, Borno State University has rolled out detailed registration guidelines for new students to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

The following step-by-step instructions have been issued by the university authorities:

1. Admission Confirmation:

Visit the admission office to collect the admission letter.

2. Departmental Clearance:

Proceed to your respective departments for clearance.

3. University Portal Access:

Log in to the University portal at tumeshus.catreaulanens using your JAMB Registration number as the username and "20232024" as the initial password.

Change your password as directed.

4. Fee Payment:

Click on the "Fee Schedule" to view the payment details.

Proceed to generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) for payment (options include ATM card, Remita, Cheque, Account Transfer, USSD, and Mobile Bank branches).

After successful payment, your ID number will be generated automatically.

Input your RRR number, click on verify, and if successful, you will be redirected to your student dashboard.

5. Biodata Update:

Update your bio-data by clicking on the profile button.

6. Course Registration:

To register for the first semester, select "1st Semester" from the top of the screen.

Choose core courses and elective courses by scrolling down the list.

For the second semester, select "2nd Semester" and repeat the course registration process.

7. Course Registration Form:

Download and print the course registration form for submission to your level coordinator and Examinations and Records department.

8. Accommodation Application:

If needed, click on "Accommodation" to access the accommodation application.

Carefully read the accommodation policy before proceeding.

9. Further Assistance:

For any additional support or inquiries, students can seek assistance from relevant university departments.
