Borno State University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Babagana Gutti, Begins Tenure with Key Engagements

The Vice Chancellor of Borno State University (BOSU), Professor Babagana Gutti, commenced his duties on Wednesday, marking his first day as the second substantive VC of the institution. In one of his first official actions, he presided over the 19th Management Meeting of the University, where he outlined the policy direction for his tenure. 

Professor Gutti emphasized an inclusive administration, stating that collaboration was key to building the BOSU of everyone’s aspirations.

He also met with the executives of the BOSU Student Union Government (SUG), led by the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Grema Mustapha, and the SUG President, Babakura Babakaka. During the meeting, the VC encouraged the students to be exemplary ambassadors of the university both on and off campus. He assured them of open access to his office, directing the SUG leaders to compile a list of their concerns for prompt attention.

In a separate engagement, Professor Gutti received a delegation from Al-Ansar University, led by Vice Chancellor Professor Abubakar Kunduri, who congratulated him on his appointment. The delegation expressed hopes for future collaboration between the two institutions for the benefit of the state and the country. 

Professor Gutti thanked Professor Kunduri and his team and expressed his eagerness to foster a harmonious working relationship between the two universities.
