The Vice-Chancellor of Borno State University (BOSU), Professor Umar Kyari Sandabe, emphasized the importance of applying the insights garnered during the workshop. During the closing ceremony, Professor Sandabe expressed gratitude to the United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA), workshop facilitators, and BOSU coordinators for orchestrating a highly productive workshop. He pledged BOSU's ongoing commitment to collaborating with UNFPA in organizing similar future training programs.
Representatives from UNFPA, including Mr. Christian Macaulay and Dr. Mathew Onoja, expressed their appreciation to BOSU for hosting the workshop. They commended the university for its hospitality and vowed to implement the practical strategies learned during the sessions.
The workshop covered a spectrum of crucial topics, including mental health and psychosocial support for survivors of gender-based violence, risk mitigation, and the integration of gender-based violence concerns into various domains.
