In the wake of a disturbing viral video depicting a violent altercation between two students at Bamidele Olumiluwa University of Education Science and Technology (BOUESTI), the institution has stood firm on its decision to expel the perpetrators despite mounting parental pressure. The Vice Chancellor, speaking through the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Veronica Makinde, affirmed that the university's verdict was final and would not be influenced by external factors.
The video, which circulated widely on social media, captured a shocking scene of one female undergraduate brutally assaulting another with a stick, while callously remarking, "Let me draw blood from you easily or hardly." Identified as "One Miss Opemiposi Precious Bolaji," the assailant's actions sparked outrage and condemnation from the public.
According to witnesses, the victim, identified as "Miss Gloria Ajayi," had reportedly been friends with her attacker, adding a layer of betrayal to the distressing incident. Ajayi's desperate pleas for mercy were met with relentless violence, prompting widespread calls for accountability and justice.

In response to the incident, BOUESTI's Public Relations Officer, Temitope Akinbisoye, issued a statement condemning the violence and confirming the expulsion of Bolaji. The university stressed that such behavior was incompatible with its values and standards of conduct, leading to the immediate expulsion of the perpetrator following an emergency meeting of the Students' Disciplinary Committee.
The decision to expel Bolaji, along with disciplinary measures against others involved, underscores BOUESTI's commitment to maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment for all students. Despite parental pressure to reconsider the sanctions, the university administration remains resolute in upholding its disciplinary measures.
