Brilliant IBBUL Lady bags 4.81/5.00 degree in Sociology, sets record as department’s first female first-class graduate
A brilliant Nigerian lady named Aisha Ketso has made history as the first female first-class graduate of the Department of Sociology at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) University, Nigeria after bagging a sociology degree with a 4.81/5.00 cumulative grade point monitored by myschoolnews.ng
Aisha Ketso bagged a Sociology degree from Ibrahim Badamasi University with an outstanding 4.81/5.00 cumulative grade point. Her performance made her the first female first-class graduate, the second first-class graduate, and also the best-graduating student of the Department of Sociology.
Speaking about her achievement, Aisha described it as the result of the commitment and focus she put into her studies.
”I am happy. It meant a lot to me and my family. I was able to utilise the knowledge impacted in me. This achievement meant that well-defined commitment, focus and persistence are tripods for self-actualisation,” she said
Aisha said she had always had passion for the legal career and wanted to study law in the university but came in contact with Sociology during her IJMB (Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination) program. She added it was after then she developed an interest in the course.
She said though Sociology is a very broad course and has its own difficult angles, she never saw herself graduating with a grade less than first-class honors because she put a lot of efforts into it.
”I do not know how I would feel. I had never for once thought about this. I was so sure I would graduate with the grade I graduated with. I believe I earned it because I worked hard for it and had good mentoring,” she said.
