Ngozi Edum announced her decision to enroll in the MSc in European Forestry program at the University of Eastern Finland with a Fully Funded Erasmus Mundus European Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship not only covers tuition but also provides a monthly stipend ranging from €1400 to €1500. The Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Scholarships for the year 2023 are currently open for applications.

Detailing her scholarship journey, Ngozi Edum revealed that she received offers from three different programs simultaneously. She secured the Germany DAAD EPOS Scholarship to study Tropical Forestry at Technische Universität Dresden. Additionally, she earned the Africa Scholarship Programme, enabling her to pursue Forest and Nature Conservation at Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands.

Despite the compelling opportunities presented by the DAAD Scholarship and the Africa Scholarship Programme, Ngozi Edum decided to decline these offers and opt for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship in Finland.
