Benue State University, Makurdi (BSU) Announces Closure of University ahead of 2023 General election

The management of the Benue State University, Makurdi (BSU) has announced the closure of the university for the 2023 General election as directed by the National Universities Commission (NUC), BSU approved the closure of the University with effect from WEDNESDAY, 22ND FEBRUARY, - TUESDAY, 14TH MARCH, 2023.

CLOSURE OF THE UNIVERSITY

In compliance with the National Universities Commission (NUC) directive on closure of all tertiary institutions in the country for effective participation in the 2023 general elections, the 303r (Emergency) meeting of Senate held on Tuesday, 21» February, 2023 approved the closure of the University with effect from WEDNESDAY, 22ND FEBRUARY, - TUESDAY, 14TH MARCH, 2023.

All staff on essential services i.e. Security, University Health Services, Fire Service, Water treatment, Generator, and Cleaning Services are exempted from the closure and should continue to render their services during the period.
