BUK Alumni Association Visits New Registrar Malam Haruna Aliyu

The Bayero University Kano (BUK) Alumni Association paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Registrar, Malam Haruna Aliyu, in his office. The Vice President of the association, Ahmad A. Firdaus, led the delegation.

Firdaus congratulated the Registrar on his well-deserved appointment and expressed the association's commitment to collaborating with the university management. He highlighted the association's achievements, including:

- Completing a borehole project worth N8 million near the Deanery of Student's Affairs, with support from the university management.

- Developing a website for the association, currently undergoing test-running.

- Conducting a study tour to the Lagos chapter to enhance their operations.

Firdaus also discussed the association's challenges, including inadequate funding and the need for accommodation within the campus. He requested the Registrar's assistance in securing a take-off grant promised by the university management.

The Registrar, Malam Haruna Aliyu, commended the association's efforts and expressed appreciation for the borehole project. He emphasized the importance of the website and the proposed welfare initiative, which would encourage membership and support needy members.

The visit aimed to strengthen the relationship between the Alumni Association and the university management, fostering a collaborative environment for mutual benefit.
