BUK Management Cracks Down on Stray Animals on Campus
The University Management has expressed grave concern over the growing number of stray animals on both campuses, which not only pollute the environment but also damage crops and plants, including those at research farms.

The menace has spread to academic areas, student hostels, staff quarters, and even the Senate building.
Despite efforts by the University Security Division to control the situation by arresting the stray animals and charging their owners fees, as well as demanding payments for damages in some cases, the problem persists. Unfortunately, most of the owners are University staff members, with a few from neighboring communities.

This contravenes guidelines for staff quarters allocation, which regulate animal rearing on campus, and violates the law prohibiting indiscriminate animal rearing, which restricts animals from straying and causing damage to others' property and assets. The Management has vowed to put an end to this menace.
