Gov. Charles Soludo of Anambra State

Going by the drive to further enhance access to quality education, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has extended the scope of free education to pupils attending public mission nursery and primary schools. The initiative was recently rolled out by the Governor's Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief of Protocols, Hon. Chinedu Nkemakonam Nwoye (Glamour), alongside the state Commissioner for Budget, Hon. Chiamaka Nnake.

Specifically, the team jointly offset the tuition fees of primary school pupils in Nawfia community, located in the Njikoka Local Government Area. This move addresses a notable gap in the implementation of the free education policy, which, until now, was primarily focused on government-owned public schools.

These educational institutions, managed by churches, had not been covered by the prevailing free education policy, prompting the need for targeted interventions.
