The victims have been identified as Obi Chukwunwike (16) from Nteje, Oyi Local Government; Obeta Uchechukwu (16) from Nsukka, Enugu State; and Usulor Chidubem (19) from Ezza, Ebonyi State.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo, visibly moved by the heart-wrenching tragedy, extended his deepest condolences to the college, the grieving pupils, and the families left bereaved by the shocking event.
