BUK Mourns the Passing of Dr. Ahmad Isiyaku Adamu

The Bayero University Kano (BUK) community is mourning the loss of Dr. Ahmad Isiyaku Adamu, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, who passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, after a brief illness.

Dr. Adamu was also the Examination Officer in the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. He was buried in his hometown, Agalawa Village, Garun Malam LGA, Kano State, and is survived by his wife and five children.

Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, expressed his condolences to the family and the university community, describing Dr. Adamu as a man of God, a committed and dedicated staff member who will be greatly missed. He prayed for Allah's forgiveness and grant of jannatil firdaus.

Dean of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Dr. Jibril Mohammed, said the faculty and university had lost a rare gem, whose death has left a huge void. He praised Dr. Adamu's contributions to the university and his dedication to his students.

The BUK community will deeply miss Dr. Adamu's expertise, guidance, and kindness. May he rest in peace.
