BUK VC, Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas Leads Management to Visit NASS Members, Seeks Special Intervention

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir

Adamu Abbas, led other management

members of the University on a courtesy

visit to some members of the National

Assembly from Kano and Jigawa states

as well as alumni of the University in

Abuja.

The visits which were conducted on

Monday, 16th through Tuesday 17th

and Wednesday 18th of October, 2023

were part of his effort to secure special

intervention for project execution in the

University as well as intimate them on

the status of Bayero University, Kano.

On Monday, 16th October, 2023 the

Abdulrahman Suleiman Kawu Sumaila,

representing Kano South Senatorial

District; Senator Aminu Abbas, an

a l u m n u s o f B U K Cl a ss 2 0 0 0

representing Adamawa Central District

and Honourable Ado Alhassan Doguwa,

member representing Doguwa/Tudun

Wada Federal Constituency who later

led the management to pay homage to

the Deputy Speaker of the House of

Representatives Rt. Honourable

Benjamin Kalu.

Also on Tuesday, 17th October, 2023 the

management were at the National

Assembly during which they visited

S e n a t o r Ba b a n g i d a H u ss a i n i ,

representing Jigawa North West as well

as Honourable Muhammad Mukhatar,

member representing Kazaure, Roni,

Gwiwa, Yankwashi in Jigawa state.

The Vice Chancellor explained that the

visit was informed by the desire to

solicit the support and assistance of the

lawmakers with a view to making the

university achieve it goals.
