The announcement, made by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. F.A. Oladimeji, added an extra layer of significance to the ongoing 60th Anniversary Celebration of the esteemed faculty.
In an exclusive interview with Tribune Newspaper, Lawal Omolola Blessing shared insights into her academic journey, citing a steadfast dedication to her studies and a resolute focus on her goals as the key factors contributing to her success in the Faculty of Pharmacy.
When questioned about her choice of Pharmacy as a field of study, she revealed, "I had a deep passion for the healthcare sector, and I couldn't handle situations involving blood and needles. Additionally, my late father worked as a chemist during his undergraduate days, imparting extensive knowledge about drugs. This fascination from my upbringing motivated my decision to pursue Pharmacy, knowing it's a profession my father would be immensely proud of."
Expressing her emotions upon discovering she was the best-graduating student, Lawal Omolola Blessing conveyed a mix of gratitude and profound accomplishment. She described the induction ceremony as a moment of immense joy and validation, not just for herself but for all those who supported and believed in her throughout her academic journey.
