The Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University has pledged support to the NDLEA new commandant to fight against drug misuse among students and academic community as a whole.

The Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola, has joined forces with the new Commandant of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ogun State Command, Commandant of Narcotics, Tijjani Rabe, to fight against drug abuse and misuse.

The collaboration was made while Mr. Tijjani Rabe, paid a visit to Chrisland University.

During the courtesy visit, Professor Babalola and Commandant Rabe engaged in a productive dialogue, focusing on strategic approaches to address drug-related challenges. Their discussions centered on intelligence sharing, joint operations, and preventive measures to curb the influx of illicit drugs within the University and its surrounding areas.

The Vice-Chancellor and the Commandant stressed the need for seamless cooperation between law enforcement agencies and educational institutions. By identifying and apprehending drug abusers, they aim to create a safer environment for students, staff, and the community.

Chrisland University and the NDLEA explored collaborative awareness initiatives. These programmes will educate students and community members about the dangers of drug abuse. Expert lectures, workshops, and campaigns will promote a drug-free lifestyle.
