College of Medicine, UNILAG holds white coat ceremony for 200 Level Students

The Orientation programme for the newly admitted Students into the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, for the 2021/2022 session commenced on Monday November 7,2002, in the Old Great Hall of the College.

The students were introduced to the activities in the College, lectured on various health and professional topics, and also visited key CMUL/LUTH points.

The historic and climax of the event was the White Coat Ceremony which was presided over by the Provost,

Professor David Adewale Oke who congratulates and welcomed the new students to the College.

According to the provost, the white coat ceremony is the rite of passage into the College of Medicine, which symbolizes that the students understand the privilege for working for humanity

and understand the responsibility to find solutions to Health problems in Nigeria, and also be ready to make integrity, merit, hardwork, responsibility, empathy and continuous learning creeds that they should live by entrying into a special breed of men and women at the College

of Medicine, University of Lagos. Professor Oke welcomed the students and wished them success in their studies.
