Commissioner of Education Visits Borno State University's Institute of Education
Borno State University welcomed a significant visit from the Commissioner of Education Science, Technology, and Innovation, Engr. Lawan Abba Wakilbe, who paid a working visit to the newly established BOSU Institute of Education.

Engr. Wakilbe's visit aimed to assess the progress and operations of the Institute of Education since its inception. He expressed his keen interest in understanding the institute's functioning, particularly regarding the handling of certificates for students of the Former Sir Kashim Ibrahim College of Education, among other matters.
Emphasizing the importance of teacher training, Engr. Wakilbe expressed hope that the Institute would strengthen its operations, enabling the government to support it effectively.

In his remarks, the Commissioner assured the Institute of Education of the government's unwavering support and cooperation, highlighting the importance of its success in enhancing the education sector.
Engr. Lawan Abba Wakilbe also took the opportunity to commend the Vice-Chancellor of BOSU, Professor Umar Kyari Sandabe, and the management team for their dedication and achievements in establishing the Borno State University on a solid foundation.
In response, Professor Sandabe expressed gratitude for the Commissioner's visit and his continuous support for the education sector in the state. He acknowledged the Commissioner's efforts in ensuring the development of tertiary education, expressing optimism for the strengthening and improvement of tertiary institutions across the state during his tenure.
The Vice-Chancellor also extended appreciation to the Commissioner for his significant support to BOSU's management, acknowledging the collective efforts of the management team in advancing the university's mission.
The visit underscores the collaborative efforts between the government and Borno State University in advancing education and fostering development in the state.
