Computing Faculty Wins Redeemer’s University Inter-Faculty Debate

The Faculty of Computing and Digital Technologies has emerged winner of the 6th edition of the Redeemer’s University Inter-Faculty Debate Competition, following a strong and well-argued presentation against the motion: “Japa After Graduation: The Best Option for Nigerian Youth?”

The winning team impressed the judges with their depth of analysis, critical thinking, and persuasive delivery, ultimately securing the top position in a contest that drew participation from multiple faculties across the institution.

The Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences came second as first runner-up. Their team presented a compelling argument in support of the motion, contributing to a balanced and intellectually engaging debate that highlighted differing perspectives on youth migration and national development.

This year’s edition, themed “Nigerian Youth and National Development,” focused on encouraging critical dialogue among students on issues affecting the country’s future, particularly the role of young people in shaping national progress.
