COOU Appoints Dr. Udoka Bernard Alajekwu as Ag. Director of Centre for Capital Market Studies

Dr. Udoka Bernard Alajekwu, of the Department of Finance, Faculty of Management Sciences at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), has been appointed Acting Director of the Centre for Capital Market Studies.

He holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in Banking and Finance from COOU and a Ph.D from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and is a member of the TRCN as well as a Chartered Finance Professional (USA).

Prior to this appointment, Dr. Alajekwu has published extensively in areas including capital market characteristics, market efficiency, investor sentiments, and reactions to dividend declarations, alongside numerous scholarly works on financial inclusion strategies and digital economies.

His combination of rigorous research and administrative experience positions him to lead the Centre toward enhanced academic and practical relevance in Nigeria’s financial sector.
