Covenant University’s CApIC-ACE has celebrated another international achievement as Blessing Chioma Oselu, a doctoral researcher at the Centre, was named one of the L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science laureates for Sub-Saharan Africa, 2025.

Covenant University’s CApIC-ACE has celebrated another international achievement as Blessing Chioma Oselu, a doctoral researcher at the Centre, was named one of the L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science laureates for Sub-Saharan Africa, 2025.

This marks the Centre’s second consecutive recognition, following Dr. Magdalene Udobi (Effiong) in 2024.

Expressing her gratitude, Oselu acknowledged the support and mentorship she received throughout her doctoral journey. She noted that the Centre’s investment in her training, sponsorship, and research opportunities played a pivotal role in shaping her as a researcher capable of achieving international acclaim.

Prof. Emeka Iweala, CApIC-ACE Centre Leader, lauded the achievement as a testament to the Centre’s vision of developing a critical mass of skilled manpower for Africa.
