A 2022 first-class graduate of the Crescent University, Masturah Adelakin, has emerged as one of the standout performers at the 2026 induction ceremony of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), where she was recognised for excellence in Labour Market Analysis.
Adelakin, who graduated as the best student in the Department of Business Administration during her undergraduate studies, further distinguished herself by emerging as the first runner-up among over 1,000 candidates who participated in the 2026 professional examination diet.
Her performance at the induction earned her formal admission as an Associate Member of CIPM (ACIPM), alongside a cash award of ₦200,000 from the institute in recognition of her academic and professional excellence.
Her recent achievement comes shortly after another strong performance from the same institution, where an Accounting graduate, Rofeeqoh Adeyinka Odunmbaku, reportedly led candidates in the November 2025 diet of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), further highlighting what stakeholders describe as a consistent pattern of academic excellence from the university’s alumni.

Speaking on her achievement, Adelakin said the journey required discipline, sacrifice, and consistency, particularly in balancing professional responsibilities with intensive examination preparation.
She credited her success to the academic foundation provided by Crescent University, noting that the institution’s teaching standards and learning environment played a significant role in shaping her professional outlook.
She also expressed appreciation to lecturers in the Department of Business Administration for their support and commitment to academic excellence throughout her studies.
Reacting to the development, the Vice-Chancellor of Crescent University, Professor Ibraheem Gbajabiamila, described the achievements of students and alumni as “consistent seasonal harvests of academic and moral excellence,” underscoring the institution’s focus on producing well-rounded graduates.
The institution reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining a culture of academic discipline, professional readiness, and ethical leadership among its students and alumni.
