Dangote Pledges Additional Student Hostels and Facilities to ADUSTECH

Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH) in Wudil, Kano State, has pledged to construct three additional student hostel blocks, a senate building, and accommodation for 10 senior academic staff.

In a statement from the university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai, Dangote also committed to upgrading the university's water plant and addressing its electricity supply issues. These pledges were made during a courtesy visit by the university's principal officers, led by Vice Chancellor Yakasai, to Dangote's office in Lagos.

Accompanied by the Kano State Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata, the university delegation expressed gratitude for Dangote’s previous interventions, including a N100 million payment to settle an electricity bill, which facilitated the university’s reconnection to the power grid.

Dangote also pledged to support the university's 5th Convocation Ceremony, provide official vehicles to principal officers, and help find a sustainable solution to the university's electricity problems.

Prof. Yakasai thanked Dangote on behalf of the university community and the people of Kano State, expressing sincere appreciation for his continued support and intervention.
