The Management of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Nigeria has announced her 109th edition of its prestigious inaugural lecture series.

The lecture, entitled "Income Smoothed, Earnings Managed, and Financial Disclosure Quality Damaged: The Primal Paradox of Aggressive Accounting," will delve into the controversial practices in the financial reporting sector.

The event, chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Andy O. Egwunyenga, will take place as follows;

Venue: 750 Lecture Theatre A, Site III, on the Abraka campus. Guests are encouraged to arrive by 10:30 AM to be seated ahead of the event.

The lecture will be delivered by Professor Augustine Oke Okolie, an expert in Accounting and Financial Reporting. Prof. Okolie, a distinguished academic with qualifications including a B.Sc., MBA, M.Sc., Ph.D., and Advanced Diploma from renowned institutions, will bring his extensive expertise to the topic, exploring the impact of earnings management on financial disclosures.
