Delta State University Issues Urgent Updates on 2025/2026 Admissions Process

The Management of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has announced significant changes to its 2025/2026 admissions exercise in an official bulletin released by the institution.

The university informed staff, students, and the general public that prospective candidates applying for the general public category will now be screened online using their JAMB and O'Level results, doing away with the traditional POST UTME examination.

The decision, detailed in Special Edition Volume XXIII No. 58, comes in response to reported undue pressure on prospective candidates by individuals claiming to be university staff or agents. University authorities reiterated the necessity of this shift to ensure a fair process. Admissions into DELSU remain absolutely free of charge and will be determined strictly by merit.

To curb misinformation, the university has urged candidates to avoid dubious intermediaries. For additional guidance, prospective students can reach out to the Chairman of the University’s Admission Board at hiowamah@delsu.edu.ng. The bulletin is accessible on the university’s website, www.delsu.edu.ng, and its Facebook page, @delsuinfo Abraka.
