Distinguished Scholar Professor Emiratus Umaru Shehu Passes Away

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of the esteemed Professor Emiratus Umaru Shehu in Maiduguri. This distinguished scholar, mentor, and community leader has left an indelible mark on the academic and social landscape.

Professor Shehu's impressive qualifications include MBBS (London), IRCF (London), MRCS (England), DPH (Liverpool), FMCPH, MFCM, FFCM (UK), FFCM (Nigeria), FAS, FWACP, and DFMC (Nigeria). Throughout his illustrious career, he dedicated himself to providing healthcare services, offering fatherly mentorship, and exhibiting exemplary community leadership.

During his 21-year tenure as Professor Emiratus, Professor Umaru Shehu made significant contributions to academia and society. His legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

The funeral prayer for Professor Emeritus Umaru Shehu will be conducted at 3:30 PM at his residence, House No. 4 Jarafu Close Old GRA Maiduguri.
