In a recent message to the University of Abuja community, Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr. Aisha Sani Maikudi addressed circulating rumors regarding possible kidnapping incidents on campus. While acknowledging the concerns raised on social media, she emphasized that these rumors are baseless but affirmed the university's commitment to security.
Dr. Maikudi urged students and staff to remain calm and continue their daily activities, stressing the importance of vigilance and security consciousness. "Your safety is our priority, and it is important that we remain alert but not alarmed," she stated.
She also informed the community that an increased presence of security personnel and vehicles would be observed on campus in the coming days. This is part of a routine security procedure aimed at enhancing the university's overall security architecture.
