Dr. David Binta Oloyede Appointed Pioneer Dean of New School of Communication and Media Studies at FEDPOFFA, Kwara State

Dr. David Binta Oloyede has been appointed as the Pioneer Dean of the newly established School of Communication and Media Studies (SCMS) at The Federal Polytechnic, Offa (FEDPOFFA), Kwara State.

Dr. David Binta Oloyede has been appointed as the Pioneer Dean of the newly established School of Communication and Media Studies (SCMS) at The Federal Polytechnic, Offa (FEDPOFFA), Kwara State. Dr. Oloyede, who was elected unopposed, secured 30 out of 31 votes in today's election, with one vote declared void.

The announcement was made by the outgoing Dean of the School of Communication and Information Technology, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwakemi Omoniyi Ogungbamigbe. As the new Dean, Dr. Oloyede will lead the SCMS, which will oversee the Mass Communication Department, Media Studies and Journalism, Media Studies and Strategic Communication, and an additional department yet to commence operations.

Dr. Oloyede, who previously served as Head of the Mass Communication Department at FEDPOFFA, brings extensive experience to his new role. His career includes a sabbatical as Head of the Mass Communication Department at Adeleke University, Ede, in Osun State, and roles as Postgraduate Coordinator at Adeleke University, adjunct lecturer at Thomas Adewumi University, Redeemers University, Summit University, and former Principal Private Secretary to the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Muhammad Gbadamosi Okikiola, Esuwoye II, Ajagungbade I.

Dr. Oloyede's appointment is expected to significantly advance communication and media education at FEDPOFFA, marking a new era for the institution's academic programs.
