The girlfriend, who was merely acting in a play, found herself at the center of a real-life drama when her boyfriend took her on-stage character to heart. Despite her attempts to explain that it was just a role assigned to her, her boyfriend remained adamant, citing his discomfort with the nature of the character she portrayed.
The boyfriend stated, “You know I love you and I cherish you so much, but I don’t think I can continue this relationship. I’ve been ignoring you since yesterday because you acted as a witch at your Yoruba awareness day. You usually behave like a witch before, now you’ve proved it to me that you are a real witch.”
The girlfriend, taken aback by the accusation, responded, “Babe, come on, that was the role they gave me.”

However, the boyfriend was resolute, “I don’t want to hear such excuses from you. Why will you accept that type of role when you know I don’t like such? I’m done with this relationship, I am not interested in it anymore. I love you, but your department loves you most. Don’t see me as a bad person, but you did this to yourself, and I can’t forgive you for that.”
