Ebonyi State University to Hold Maiden Alumni Lecture Series

Ebonyi State University (EBSU) is set to host its inaugural Alumni Lecture Series today, June 10, 2025. However, according to recent updates, the event might be scheduled for July 10, 2025.

The lecture series aims to recognize and celebrate outstanding alumni who have made significant contributions to their fields and society.

The keynote speaker for the event is Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso, a distinguished alumnus, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Dr. Anyaso is the Chief Executive Officer of Caades Group, a conglomerate with investments in real estate, oil and gas, healthcare, hospitality, and more.

The theme for the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Lecture is "From Classroom to Boardroom: The Power of Education in Shaping Destiny." The lecture will provide a platform for Dr. Anyaso to share his insights, experiences, and leadership lessons with students, faculty, and the public, promoting a spirit of aspiration and excellence within the university community .

Dr. Anyaso is the founder and sponsor of the Ahuoma Anyaso Education Foundation and the Chima Anyaso Foundation, which have empowered hundreds of Nigerians through education and entrepreneurship initiatives. He has received numerous national and international honors, including the African Achievers Award for Community Development and Vanguard Personality of the Year (2024) .
