In a heartfelt expression of gratitude, the Students Union Government (SUG) of Ebonyi State University, led by Comrade Oshim Tobias Nkwegu, has extended its deepest thanks to His Excellency, Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the Governor of Ebonyi State, for his remarkable support and contributions to the university's development.

- Automatic Employment: First-class graduates of EBSU are assured of automatic employment, regardless of their state of origin.
- Renaming of Teaching Hospital: The renaming of Alex Ekwueme Teaching Hospital to Ebonyi State University Teaching Hospital, marking a significant milestone in the university's history.
The university community was elated by these announcements, leading to a solidarity march to demonstrate their collective gratitude.
