In response to the economic challenges posed by the removal of fuel subsidies, the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) has passionately appealed to President Bola Tinubu. During a news conference in Lagos, ECWA President Rev. Stephen Panya commended Tinubu's  in restoring the value of the naira but emphasized the critical need for immediate and extensive intervention measures.

Panya underscored the profound impact of subsidy removal on inflation, unemployment, and poverty rates, advocating for urgent steps such as substantial wage increases for workers and the abolition of tuition fees in all Federal Government tertiary institutions. The church also urged the government to prioritize responsible fiscal management, including cost-cutting measures and targeted subsidies for vulnerable groups through a revitalized national social investment program.

Furthermore, Panya addressed the societal fractures along ethnic, regional, and religious lines, emphasizing the necessity for President Tinubu's administration to work diligently toward national unity, cohesion, and integration.
