Ejeh of Ankpa Welcomes ACReSAL Team, Calls for Road Extension to Al-Bayan University
His Royal Highness, Dr. Abubakar Sadiq Ahmed Yakubu II, meets with the Kogi State ACReSAL team, highlighting the need for road improvements to support local development and enhance connectivity to Al-Bayan University.
His Royal Highness, Dr. Abubakar Sadiq Ahmed Yakubu II, welcomed the Kogi State ACReSAL (Accelerating Climate Resilience for the Agriculture Sector) team at his palace, led by Engineer Ademu Mohammed Yahaya and Hon. Akus Lawal.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness expressed satisfaction with the ongoing road construction and drainage projects in the region, underscoring the necessity of using quality materials for these developments. He advocated for the extension of the current project to Al-Bayan University along Enokpoli Road, Ankpa, to improve road connectivity and enhance the local infrastructure network.
Dr. Abdulhamid Umar, ACReSAL’s National Project Coordinator, shared insights into how the project will positively impact social livelihood and bolster community resilience. Engineer Ademu reinforced the commitment of the Kogi State Government and ACReSAL to maintaining high standards in all project implementations.
Chief (Barrister) Ladi Ahmed Jatto OON, the Project Coordinator, assured attendees that the initiative would significantly boost Ankpa’s economy by attracting foreign investors and enhancing community resilience.
Additionally, Dr. Joy Agene, the World Bank ACReSAL Task Team Leader, briefed His Royal Highness on plans to provide financial empowerment to community members, particularly aimed at supporting dry-season farming initiatives.
