Bello El-Rufai Releases N2.5 Million to Pay School Fees of Kaduna North Students at FUDMA

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai, has taken a commendable step by releasing a sum of N2.5 million to pay the school fees of students from Kaduna North studying at the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) in Katsina State. El-Rufai further joyfully shared that some beneficiaries have received their payments.

Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, Son of the Former Governor of Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai has taken a commendable step by releasing a sum of N2.5 million to pay the school fees of students from Kaduna North studying at the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) in Katsina State.

Bello El-Rufaiis a Nigerian politician, currently serving as a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency.

El-Rufai shared the news on his Facebook page, stating, “In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. Eleven days ago, I set up an ad hoc committee to pay the tuition fees of students from Kaduna North schooling in the University of Dutsin-Ma.”

He explained that the disbursement would occur in phases, with the initial release of N2.5 million marking the first phase. “I released the sum of 2.5 million naira for the first phase of the process. My team and I named the initiative in the name of the late former President of Nigeria, His Excellency Umaru Musa Yar’adua.”

He emphasized the inclusive nature of the initiative, noting, “As usual, this initiative was done without any regard to party affiliation, religious background or ethnicity. I am very grateful to all the members of the committee, the student union, and the management of the school. We will continue to prioritise education in Kaduna North Federal Constituency.”

El-Rufai further expressed regret for the delay in updating the public about the progress of the task but joyfully shared that some beneficiaries have received their payments.

He concluded with congratulating the first set of beneficiaries and reassured others that more students would benefit from the initiative. “Congratulations to the first set of beneficiaries of the university. The school is in Katsina and has a lot of students from Kaduna. Please find attached the list of the beneficiaries. I have been informed that more students will gain as well. Please be patient with the ad hoc committee as I am hoping there are still more funds.”
