In a bid to reinforce its commitment to campus safety, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, has reaffirmed its long-standing partnership with the Nigerian Police. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan, highlighted the importance of this collaboration during a formal handover of a computer system to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Ojongbodu Police Division, Michael Akano.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, the Director of Campus Security, Dr. Adebayo Salako, praised the Nigerian Police for their unwavering support in maintaining peace and security within the university community. “The peaceful environment we’ve enjoyed is a direct result of your dedication,” he stated, acknowledging the productive collaborations with the Ojongbodu Division and other security agencies.

The donation of the computer system is a gesture of appreciation and a reaffirmation of the university’s commitment to working hand-in-hand with the police to ensure a safe environment for its staff, students, and residents of the surrounding community. Professor Olaniyan promised that the university will continue to support the police in their security efforts, as safety remains a top priority for the administration.

In response, DPO Michael Akano expressed his gratitude, thanking the Vice-Chancellor and the university's management for their generous donation. "This computer set will greatly enhance our operations, and we are deeply appreciative," Akano remarked, adding that the Ojongbodu Division would ensure the equipment is put to good use in improving security services.

The event was also attended by key university officials, including the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Wole Akinlabi, and the Media and Public Relations Officer, 'Wale Adeoye, further underscoring the institution's collective commitment to fostering a secure academic environment.
