Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) is poised to elevate academic discourse with its inaugural Department of Accountancy International Conference (1ST DAIEC), scheduled for July 2nd and 3rd, 2024. This landmark event, themed "Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability Reporting: Implications for Accounting Profession and Stakeholders’ Value Creation," promises to redefine the intersection of technology and accounting practices.

Organized to foster research excellence and industry collaboration, the conference will convene esteemed professionals, scholars, and stakeholders, both physically at the prestigious Prof Julius Onah Auditorium and virtually. Notably, Dr. Innocent Iweka Okwuosa, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), will headline a distinguished lineup of speakers.

The conference boasts Dr. Friday Akpan, Director-General of the Nigeria College of Accountancy, Jos, and Dr. Iheanyi Anyahara, Director of the FRC and Chair of the Adoption Readiness Working Group for Sustainability Reporting in Nigeria, as lead paper presenters. Adding to the international perspective, Prof. Mannixs Paul, Director of Education Training at the Institute of Leadership and Governance, USA, will deliver a keynote address.
