Gunmen abducted Dr. Obi Ilo, President of ESUT Alumni Association, and his son, demanding N20 million ransom, sparking security concerns in Enugu.
Dr. Obi Ilo, President of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Alumni Association, along with his son, Kamsi Ilo, were kidnapped by unidentified gunmen on Saturday. The incident occurred near Four Corners Junction as they were returning from Nachi in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Dr. Maxwell Ngene, a member of the ESUT Alumni Association, revealed the abduction on Sunday, stating that the kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N20 million for their release. The abduction compounds Dr. Ilo's recent loss, as his wife's body remains at the Eastern Nigeria Hospital in Enugu.

Dr. Ngene strongly condemned the act, urging swift action from security agencies and the government to ensure the safe return of the victims. He also appealed to the public for any information that could aid in their rescue.
