ESUT Grants Automatic Jobs to Top Three Graduates of 2021/2022 Academic Session
The recipients of this coveted recognition include Ms. Ikeonyia Barbara Ijeoma, who emerged as the overall best graduate from across all departments and faculties. Ms. Ijeoma hails from the department of Industrial Physics in the Applied Natural Sciences faculty.
In a remarkable display of academic excellence, the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has extended the prestigious offer of automatic employment to its top three graduating students of the 2021/2022 academic session. The announcement was made by Prof Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, the Vice Chancellor of the University, during the 19th convocation ceremony held at the main campus in Agbani.
The recipients of this coveted recognition include Ms. Ikeonyia Barbara Ijeoma, who emerged as the overall best graduate from across all departments and faculties. Ms. Ijeoma hails from the department of Industrial Physics in the Applied Natural Sciences faculty. The second position was secured by Mr. Muoananu Ifenna Chinedu, representing the Computer Engineering department in the faculty of Engineering. The third best-graduating student, Mr. Arum Tobechukwu Franklin, distinguished himself in the Biology Education department within the Faculty of Education.

Prof Okolie, while conferring the offers, expressed the university's pride in these outstanding graduates, highlighting their academic prowess and contributions to the institution's legacy. This commendable initiative aims to not only recognize the students' remarkable achievements but also motivate and inspire excellence among future graduates.
In addition to honoring the academic achievements of its students, ESUT bestowed Honorary Awards (Honoris Causa) upon five eminent personalities. Among them, Mr. Osagie Okunbor, the Country Chair of Shell Companies in Nigeria and Managing Director of the Shell Petroleum Development Company Of Nigeria Limited, received a Doctor of Business Administration (Honoris Causa).

Mr. Okunbor, in his acceptance speech, acknowledged the longstanding partnership between Shell Companies in Nigeria and ESUT, emphasizing the pivotal role of education in shaping the nation's human capacity.
