Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has taken a significant step towards fostering the development of aircraft engineering technology in Nigeria, particularly in the South-East region. This milestone was achieved through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Eastwing Aviation Institute (EAI), Enugu, solidifying their commitment to empower and inspire the region's youth in the aviation sector.
The MoU signing ceremony, which recently took place, was attended by key representatives from both institutions, including Prof. Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, the Vice Chancellor of ESUT, Ambrose Ugwu, the Registrar, Prof. Titus Enudu, Chairman of the MoU Committee, and Mr. Segun Babalola, Deputy Provost of EAI. During the event, Vice Chancellor Prof. Aloysius-Michaels Okolie expressed great optimism about the partnership, stating, "From the history and the capacity built by EAI, Enugu, over the years and the strength of ESUT, Agbani, in imparting both theoretical and sound practical knowledge to youths, there is no doubt that the coming together of ESUT and EAI will produce graduates of Aircraft Engineering Technology, who will perform according to global standard and surpass their counterparts in the world of aviation."

Dr. Edeh Okechukwu, the Provost/Chief Executive Officer of EAI, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing the potential benefits for youth in the South East and beyond. He stated, "Eastwing Aviation, being the first approved aviation training organization in the South East, partnering with a prestigious university like ESUT, will give the students all they need to excel in the aviation industry." Prof. Titus Enudu echoed the sentiment, saying, "My joy is full not because of anything more than the good things coming to our youths. This collaboration between ESUT and EAI is the beginning of greater heights in the training of our youths in Aviation Engineering and Aviation Management."
