PTI Final Year Student Electrocuted While Installing Solar Panels

Effurun, Delta State, Nigeria - In a tragic incident, a final year student of the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) lost his life due to electrocution while attempting to install solar panels on a one-story building.

The incident took place in close proximity to a commercial bank in the Warri Garage Area on Thursday, October 19, 2023. According to witnesses, the young student's aluminum ladder became magnetized by high-tension wires connected to a neighboring commercial bank, leading to the fatal electrocution.

The late student, who resided with his parents in the nearby Bowen Avenue area, was laid to rest in his country home in one of the South-East states on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
