Executives of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Victoria Island Branch, pay courtesy visit to the faculty of engineering LASU Epe Campus.

The Executives of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Victoria Island Branch, led by Engr. Emeka B. Ibeh, on Monday, 14th of August, 2023, paid a courtesy visit to the Faculty of Engineering, Lagos State University, Epe Campus, Epe.

The team was received by Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Nurudeen Raji, alongside other professors and other teaching and non-teaching staff of the faculty. 

After the welcome address delivered by the Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Leader of the Executives, Engr. Emeka B. Ibeh, informed the Faculty that the purpose of their visit was to unveil some of their programmes and seek collaboration with the Faculty in the areas of research and development (R&D) and innovations that could proffer solutions to societal needs.

The visitors also implored the Faculty to come up with different and laudable proposals which they could support.

The faculty team thanked the Executive of NSE, VI Branch and assured them that the symbiotic relationship that has always existed between them (Faculty and NSE, VI Branch) would not be taken for granted. The faculty team also asserted that the predecessors of the Executives of NSE, VI Branch donated some money to the Faculty about three years ago, which the faculty used to construct a hand washing machine, placed at the Senate Building of the University in Ojo.

The two teams showed commitment to the agenda by putting together a seven-man committee to drive the partnership.

To also show their commitment and readiness for the partnership with the Faculty, the Executive of NSE, VI Branch presented a cheque of N200,000.00K (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) only and a magazine to the Faculty, a gesture which attracted appreciation from the Dean.
