Federal Government Urged to Support Polytechnics for National Development

The Federal Government of Nigeria has been called upon to harness the research efforts of polytechnics across the country to foster national growth and development. This appeal was made by Dr. Usman Sani Tunga, the Rector of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, during the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP) Week, national conference, and fund-raising ceremony for the ASUP Secretariat Building in Birnin Kebbi.

Dr. Tunga emphasized the crucial role that polytechnics play in national development and urged the government to provide the necessary funding to these institutions to further promote national development. He challenged the conference participants to deliberate on issues of national development and security, stating that no nation can grow without peace.
