The Health Services Department of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, celebrated a year of significant growth and institutional milestones during a colorful year-end retreat held on Friday, December 19, 2025.
Led by the Head of Department, Dr. (Mrs.) Uchechukwuma V. Eze, the event served as both a reflection on the year’s challenges and a celebration of the department’s transformation over the past decade.
Dr. Eze extended her gratitude to the Rector, Dr. Victor Okolobah, and the Chief Nursing Officer, Mrs. Stella Okolobah, praising their strategic vision and commitment to staff motivation. She noted that their leadership was instrumental in securing the resources necessary for the department’s current success.
The event featured a formal awards segment where outstanding staff members were honored with tokens of appreciation for their unwavering dedication to healthcare delivery within the polytechnic community.
The festivities, which included the cutting of a commemorative cake and a staff dance competition, concluded with a forward-looking charge. Dr. Eze urged the team to maintain their momentum, stating that "the very best is expected in the coming year" as the Health Centre continues to evolve into a premier medical facility for the institution.
