The Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, has matriculated 9,925 students into various academic programmes for the 2023–2024 academic session. The 30th matriculation ceremony, held in Offa, saw the Rector, Engineer Dr. Kadiri Kamoru Oluwatoyin, emphasizing the institution's zero tolerance for vices.

In his address, the Rector charged the new students to shun prostitution, truancy, disobedience, indecent dressing, and other forms of negative behavior. He stressed the importance of adherence to the oath of allegiance and obedience to the institution's rules and regulations.

The matriculation ceremony marked the official entry of 4,356 students into Higher National Diploma (HND), 3,049 students into National Diploma (ND) full-time, and 2,520 students into part-time programmes.

Dr. Oluwatoyin highlighted the institution's achievements within the last 12 months, including the installation of internet Wi-Fi connections, establishment of new departments, and expansion of workforce. He also mentioned the establishment of the Skills Development Centre, construction projects, and other infrastructure developments.

The Rector further announced the upcoming commercial production of Fedpoffa table water and Fedpoffa Bread. He celebrated the institution's designation as a CBT examination centre by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and the approval to commence the Open Distance and Flexible E-Learning (ODFEL) Programme.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Oluwatoyin urged the students to seize the opportunities provided by the institution, emphasizing the importance of focus, diligence, and determination.
