The Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) has achieved remarkable success at the recent All Universities Debate Championship held at Veritas University, Abuja. Led by Abdulmumin Musa Omiya from the Department of Sociology, the FUBK debate team showcased exceptional dedication and skill throughout the competition.  

The team progressed impressively through six rigorous rounds, ultimately qualifying for both the quarterfinals and semifinals, competing against formidable opponents such as the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and the University of Ilorin.

In addition to the team’s collective success, individual members received accolades for their outstanding performances. Abubakar Sa'idu, a Sociology student, was recognized as the "Best Dressed Participant," while Isaac Orbor from Sociology, Fatima Haruna Gbodoti from the MBBS program, and Livinus Chioma Princess from the Department of Biochemistry won prizes during the event's games night.

FUBK’s exceptional performance was celebrated with the prestigious award for "Best Outstanding Semifinalist," further emphasizing the university's commitment to excellence in academics and extracurricular activities.
