The Senate of Federal University Dutse (FUD) has approved the revised academic calendar for the 2023/2024 academic session. This approval was granted during the 65th Ordinary Meeting held on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
The revised calendar outlines the following key dates and events:
1. Lecture Period for Second Semester: The second semester lectures will commence on Monday, August 12, 2024, and will run through to Saturday, September 28, 2024, spanning a total of six weeks.
2. Mid-Semester Break: A mid-semester break is scheduled from Monday, September 30, 2024, to Sunday, October 6, 2024.
3. Continuation of Lectures: Lectures will resume on Monday, October 7, 2024, and continue until Saturday, November 16, 2024, lasting seven weeks.
4. End of Semester Examinations: Examinations for the second semester are set to begin on Monday, November 18, 2024, and conclude on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
5. Commencement of New Session: The new academic session is slated to start on Monday, January 6, 2025.
